Capital Networks is establishing an industrial rope access telecommunications capability in the ACT and surrounding region as part of its pre-operational recruitment.

This role is suited to rope access technicians who are willing to learn RF technical skills on site, including installing antennas and a range of external radio equipment on lattice towers, guyed masts, and monopoles, supporting the development of mobile telecommunications networks (Telstra, Optus, TPG and NBN).

Working with cranes, capstan winches and feeder hauls will be expected on a regular basis. Work from an elevated work platform may also occur, though this will be occasional.

Predominantly single static line with work positioning
Capital Networks is not a high-volume IRATA production contractor. We are a telecommunications contractor that applies rope access techniques where appropriate, in line with safety, regulatory, and site requirements. This role does not sit within a formal IRATA progression pathway, as twin-rope systems are not routinely required for telecommunications tower structures.
