Job Title: Information Security Specialist
About Our Company: A reputable financial services organisation in Brisbane is seeking a permanent Information Security Specialist.
Role Overview:
This role plays a crucial part in driving the company's cyber security initiatives and safeguarding their financial services and customer data. The position is 70% GRC (ISO) and 30% supporting the wider ICT/Cyber landscape.
Key Responsibilities:
Analysing and assessing security requirements, identifying potential vulnerabilities, and recommending appropriate solutions.
Assisting in achieving ISO 27001 certification by developing and implementing security controls and processes.
Working closely with various business units and contractors to support and implement cyber security best practices.
Ensuring adherence to relevant laws, regulations, and standards by developing, implementing, and maintaining security policies and procedures.
Monitoring networks and systems for security incidents, conducting investigations, and responding to incidents using tools like Rapid7, Crowdstrike, and Microsoft Defender.
Requirements:
A few years' experience, especially across the GRC environment.
Strong stakeholder engagement.
Ability to immediately contribute to and lead ISO27001 initiatives.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a proactive and agile attitude.
Familiarity with cyber security frameworks and best practices.
