Job Title: IT Support Engineer – Deployment Project
Location: Onsite – Secure Defence Facility (PE28 Area)
Contract Type: IT Contract (Inside IR35), £25/hr
Security Clearance: Active SC Clearance required
We are seeking a skilled IT Support Engineer to support IT operations at a secure defence site in the PE28 region. The role involves a combination of hardware triage, asset management, and ticket handling within an onsite support hub.
Key Responsibilities:
• Manage and update the IT support queue for the site and its satellite locations
• Perform stock and asset tracking, scanning kit in/out of the onsite hub
• Conduct basic hardware diagnostics and in-warranty repairs
• Liaise with hardware vendors for parts, returns, and warranty coordination
• Process equipment disposals according to contract and policy
• Replenish device lockers as needed
• Proactively escalate service issues or suggest service improvements
• Adhere to all site-specific processes, security policies, and procedural standards
Required Skills & Experience:
• Active SC Clearance is essential
• Experience in a PC field service or workshop support environment (2+ years)
• Solid knowledge of hardware repair and break/fix troubleshooting
• Familiarity with IT asset management and service ticket systems
• Excellent organisation and communication skills
• A full, clean UK driving licence
