Job Title: Infrastructure Engineer – Data Structured Cabling System

Location: UAE

Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Infrastructure Engineer specializing in Data Structured Cabling Systems with expertise in Integrated Data Center Management (IDCM) for data center projects. The ideal candidate will have 5-6 years of experience managing structured cabling projects and a strong technical background. Immediate joining is required, along with a police clearance from the candidate's native country as the end-user is a government entity.

Key Responsibilities:

Infrastructure Management:

· Plan, design, and implement data structured cabling systems adhering to TIA/EIA and ISO/IEC standards.

· Manage the installation, termination, and testing of copper (Cat5e, Cat6, Cat6A) and fiber optic cabling (single-mode, multi-mode).

· Utilize IDCM systems to monitor, manage, and optimize data center cabling and infrastructure for operational efficiency.

· Ensure proper grounding, bonding, and cable management to minimize signal loss and electromagnetic interference (EMI).

Project Management:

· Independently oversee structured cabling projects, ensuring all milestones are achieved within timelines and budgets.

· Develop detailed project schedules and prepare weekly progress reports and presentations for stakeholders.

· Organize and document meetings with clients, subcontractors, suppliers, and main contractors.

· Monitor subcontractor and vendor activities to ensure adherence to quality and project specifications.

Technical Execution:

· Design server rack configurations, ensuring compliance with airflow requirements, load capacities, and cable management standards.

· Develop scalable cable pathways using trays, conduits, and ducts while adhering to bend radius limits.

· Perform quality assurance tests using tools such as Fluke testers to verify performance metrics.

Compliance & Coordination:

· Ensure alignment with structured cabling standards, including TIA/EIA-568, TIA/EIA-+42, and ISO/IEC 11801.

· Integrate IDCM tools to manage infrastructure seamlessly, ensuring real-time data monitoring and asset tracking.

· Coordinate with government entities, consultants, and contractors to ensure alignment with project goals.

· Facilitate police clearance processes as mandated by the end-user.

Qualifications:

· Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Electronics, Telecommunication Engineering, or related fields.

· Minimum 5-6 years of experience in data structured cabling system projects, preferably in data centers.

· Strong understanding of structured cabling, network infrastructure, and Integrated Data Center Management (IDCM) systems.

Key Skills:

Technical Knowledge and Skills:

· Proficiency in structured cabling standards such as TIA/EIA-568, TIA/EIA-+42, ISO/IEC 11801.

· Expertise in fiber optic cabling (single-mode, multi-mode) and copper cables (Cat5e, Cat6, Cat6A).

· Comprehensive knowledge of IDCM platforms for data center cabling and infrastructure management.

· Understanding of Ethernet, PoE, and network topologies (star, bus, hybrid).

· Experience in grounding, EMI management, and cable management techniques.

Design Expertise:

· Proficiency in server rack configuration, airflow management, and cable routing.

· Expertise in designing scalable cable pathways while adhering to bend radius limits.

Software Expertise:

· Cabling Design Tools: AutoCAD, Visio, BICSI Cable Management Software, Siemon MapIT.

· Rack and IDCM Tools: Schneider Electric EcoStruxure IT, NetZoom, Panduit PanConfig, iTracs, Patch Manager.

· IDCM Tools: Tools for asset tracking, capacity management, and real-time monitoring.

Project Management:

· Scheduling and phasing of cabling work to ensure smooth execution.

· Conducting performance and continuity tests for quality assurance.

· Maintaining accurate as-built documentation and cable labeling for future reference.

Certifications (Preferred):

· BICSI RCDD (Registered Communications Distribution Designer).

· Certified Network Cable Installer (CNCI).

· Fiber Optic Installation and Testing Certification.

Additional Requirements:

· Knowledge of Integrated Data Center Management (IDCM) platforms for efficient infrastructure management.

· Police clearance certificate from the candidate’s native country (mandatory).

· Willingness to join immediately.
