We are seeking an experienced and proactive Injury Management Advisor to support the effective management of workers injuries and claims, ensuring the best possible outcomes for our workers and the business.
This role is critical in supporting injured workers back to a to safe and sustainable return to work while ensuring legislative compliance, best practice injury management, and strong stakeholder engagement.
To be considered for the position as Injury Management Advisor you will possess the following:
Strong operational awareness and a practical, worker-focused holistic approach
Demonstrated experience in injury management, workers’ compensation and rehabilitation in construction, mining, manufacturing or heavy industry
Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage and influence at all organisation levels and with external stakeholders
Ability to manage difficult and sensitive conversations with professionalism and empathy
High level of organisation, compliance and documentation skills
Ability to work under pressure and prioritise tasks in a deadline driven environment
Relevant qualifications in Injury Management or Allied Health (highly regarded)
As an Injury Management Advisor, you will be responsible for but not limited to:
Coordinating injury management and Insurance claims from first notification to closure
Providing support/ advice to site-based teams in managing injuries and personal conditions onsite
Attending medical reviews to support workers with treatment and develop return-to-work plans
Liaising with supervisors, HSE teams, treating doctors, rehab providers and insurers
Ensuring compliance with state-based workers’ compensation legislation
Identifying trends, risk areas and contributing to injury prevention initiatives
Assist with the review and recommendations of Pre Employment Medicals
Maintaining accurate case notes, claims data and reporting
