Job Role
Product Development
The Innovation Product Engineer is responsible for the development of innovative products or product enhancements. They work closely with cross-functional teams, including designers, researchers, and developers, to translate innovative ideas into tangible products. They contribute to the entire product development lifecycle, from concept to launch.
Prototyping and Testing
The Innovation Product Engineer creates prototypes and conducts testing to validate and refine innovative product concepts. They use various prototyping techniques and tools to quickly iterate and gather feedback. They collaborate with stakeholders and end-users to ensure that the product meets their needs and expectations.
Technical Expertise
The Innovation Product Engineer brings technical expertise and knowledge to the innovation process. They have a deep understanding of relevant technologies, materials, and manufacturing processes. They assess the feasibility and viability of innovative ideas from a technical perspective, considering factors such as scalability, cost and performance.
Cross-functional Collaboration
The Innovation Product Engineer collaborates with cross-functional teams, including designers, researchers, marketers, and business stakeholders. They contribute technical insights and work closely with others to align product innovation with business objectives. They ensure effective communication and coordination among team members throughout the product development process.
Market Research and Analysis
The Innovation Product Engineer conducts market research and analysis to understand customer needs, competitive landscape, and industry trends. They identify market opportunities and gather insights to inform product innovation. They stay updated on emerging technologies, industry standards, and regulatory requirements relevant to the product domain.
Intellectual Property (IP) Management
The Innovation Product Engineer may be responsible for managing and protecting intellectual property associated with innovative products or technologies. They work with legal and IP teams to identify patentable inventions, file patents, and ensure compliance with IP regulations. They may also conduct IP landscape analysis to assess potential risks and opportunities.
Continuous Improvement
The Innovation Product Engineer seeks opportunities for continuous improvement of existing products or processes. They analyze customer feedback, performance data, and market trends to identify areas for enhancement or optimization. They collaborate with relevant teams to implement improvements and drive innovation within the product portfolio.
Project Management

Collaboration with External Partners
