Job Overview:
As an Inside Sales Representative at Seamless Supply, you will play a crucial role in driving the growth of our business by building and maintaining strong relationships with customers, from contractors to designers and distributors. You will be responsible for managing and fulfilling customer orders, offering expert guidance on custom trim designs, and ensuring exceptional order turnaround times to meet customer needs. Salesperson must thrive in a team environment by coordinating with the sales team to submit metal orders for production to ensure timely processing and delivery. This role requires an individual who can thrive in an office environment, providing sales support and offering tailored solutions that showcase our commitment to quality and service.
The ideal candidate will be skilled in customer service, sales, and product knowledge. The successful candidate will also be responsible for handling over-the-counter sales, providing material estimates based on customer plans, and processing orders.
Key Responsibilities:
Customer Inquiries & Order Processing: Handle inbound customer inquiries via phone, email, and in-person, providing detailed information on custom trim, vinyl siding, and other roofing products. Accurately process orders, ensuring that all customer specifications are captured for timely production.
Custom Trim Design Assistance: Work with customers to design custom trim and other architectural details, ensuring accurate specifications are communicated for production.
Material Takeoffs & Estimation: Estimate material requirements based on plans or blueprints provided by customers. Calculate material quantities for roofing, siding, trim, and vinyl products to ensure accurate and complete orders.
Order Turnaround: Prioritize quick order turnaround and coordinate metal orders to be sent to the main location for production. Ensure that all orders, whether for custom trim or vinyl siding, are processed and delivered in a timely manner.
Customer Relationship Management: Develop and maintain strong relationships with customers to ensure satisfaction, repeat business, and referrals. Follow up on open orders and future project needs with personalized service to ensure satisfaction.
Product Knowledge: Maintain up-to-date knowledge of both custom trim designs and the range of vinyl siding products available, ensuring the ability to offer expert guidance to customers in selecting the right products based on their needs and specifications.
Sales Presentations: Present and promote the full product lineup, including custom trim solutions, metal roofing, and siding, to potential clients demonstrating the quality, durability, and aesthetic benefits of our solutions.
Customer Education: Educate customers on product features, installation processes, and the benefits of our custom trim solutions.
Customer Relationship Building: Build strong, long-term relationships with key clients to foster loyalty, repeat business and referrals. Provide consistent follow-up and support throughout their project.
Additional Duties:
Over-the-Counter Sales: Assist walk-in customers with purchasing metal and vinyl products, accessories, tools and trim. Provide advice on product selection, answer questions, and process transactions quickly for immediate pick-up or delivery.
Facility Maintenance & Upkeep: Contribute to facility maintenance efforts by supporting general upkeep and ensuring the building remains clean, safe, and well-presented throughout the year.

Skills & Qualifications:
Experience: 1+ years of construction experience in the roofing, siding, or building materials industries. Experience with material estimation, vinyl siding and custom trim design is highly preferred.
Estimating Skills: Strong ability to read and interpret customer plans or blueprints to accurately estimate material needs for roofing, siding, trim, and vinyl siding products.
Customer Service Skills: Excellent communication and customer service skills, with the ability to assist customers over the phone, via email, and in person, ensuring a seamless and positive experience to build and maintain lasting relationships with customers.
Sales Skills: Proven track record of inside sales, including generating leads, closing sales, meeting sales goals and building lasting customer relationships.
Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Ability to present technical information in a clear and compelling way.
Product Knowledge: Thorough understanding of roofing, siding, trim, and vinyl siding products, including their applications and benefits. Ability to provide expert guidance, installation techniques and answer technical questions.
Time Management: Exceptional organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple orders, estimations, and customer interactions efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
Problem-Solving: Ability to troubleshoot customer challenges and offer creative, tailored solutions, especially for custom designs.
Self-Motivated: Strong work ethic and ability to work independently with minimal supervision, as well as within a team environment.
Software Proficiency: Familiarity with CRM systems, order processing systems, and MS Office Suite. Knowledge of industry-specific software is a plus.
