Job Description
The Opportunity:
Denodo is currently seeking a bright, motivated Instructional Designer to join our fast paced, passionate Sales Enablement Team. The Instructional Designer will be responsible for executing the training and enablement strategy set forth by the Operations team and will help facilitate and coordinate training needs as needed. The Instructional Designer will work independently and as a team in the process of developing, managing and improving our training content which includes onboarding training, sales training, continuation training and skills-based training.
Duties & Responsibilities:
• Assist in the planning, design, facilitation, instruction and evaluation of training classes on products and selling/communication skills and update the courses regularly to meet the needs of the organization.
• Support and build training based on department goals and initiatives.
• Deliver company training programs and workshops to employees and managers.
• Use a variety of instructional methods to ensure maximum delivery effectiveness.
• Monitor employee's knowledge before and after training to help determine follow-up training required and to reinforce skills taught during training sessions.
• Assist in the creation and delivery of continuing education and ongoing training for existing staff.
• Work closely with Sales Operations and Sales leadership to identify skills and areas needing improvement.
• Maintain course content in conjunction with applicable new product release functionality.
• Identify opportunities to improve, update, or customize training materials to meet the needs of the audience.
• Conduct course evaluations to determine effectiveness of training and incorporate measurement and assessment results into future training.
• Consult with subject matter experts, business owners, and peers to meet business training and enablement needs across multiple cross-functional teams.
• Manage onboarding activities across geographically-dispersed teams, defining project timelines, and identifying priorities.
• Maintain and manage enablement content working closely with our Platform Product Marketing Manager(s)
• Build strong relationships with the Sales and Marketing Development teams to collaborate on developer programs and communicate developer sales funnel on regular basis
Qualifications
Desired Skills & Experience:
• 4+ years of experience in training and applying curriculum development and instructional design practices and methodologies to support training creation and delivery.
• 4+ years proven strong experience with:
• eLearning Authoring tools (Camtasia, Articulate) is a must;
• LMS Platforms (Litmos or similar)
• Knowledge of adult learning principles and course development and teaching methodologies.
• Excellent verbal, written, proofreading, and editing skills.
• High level of creativity, independence and dependability.
• Flexibility and the ability to work in multiple time zones across North America and Europe.
• Ability to effectively interface with business leadership teams.
• Knowledge of Sales and Marketing tools like: CRM, Sales Enablement Tools; such as Highspot or similar
• Must be willing to travel to the office minimum 3 days per week.
