Job Description
We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Instructional Specialist to join our team at the Alabama Department of Education. As an Instructional Specialist, you will be responsible for teaching basic academic subjects to students who require remedial work.
• You will apply lesson techniques designed for short attention spans to teach reading and math, and support regular class participation and evaluate test results to discover language and math skills.
• Select and teach reading material and math problems related to everyday life, and may also teach functional life skills.
• Demonstrate patience, understanding, and attention to work, and have a thorough knowledge of the subject to arouse students' interest.
The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's degree (B.A.) and the ability to read, analyze, and interpret general periodicals, professional journals, and technical procedures.
Estimated Salary: $60,000 - $80,000 per year
