Job Information
As the Instructor of the Carpentry Program, you'll play an important role in the Apprenticeship Carpentry Program and more, with a focus on fostering positive career development for adult learners in our communities. You will be responsible for developing and delivering engaging, impactful courses while ensuring that the curriculum meets the diverse needs of our students. Your role will also involve evaluating student progress and providing ongoing support to help them succeed.
This is more than just a teaching position, you'll be a key representative of the College, playing a vital role in building and maintaining a positive reputation within the community. Whether you're teaching in-person at various campuses or delivering sessions in community locations, you'll be directly impacting the success of our students and helping to strengthen our community ties.
Qualifications would be attained by:
A bona fide requirement of the job is possession of an Interprovincial Journeyperson Certification in Carpentry
3 years' experience in the field as a journeyperson Carpenter
2 years' instructional experience in the field of Carpentry in post-secondary and/or supervising Carpenters
2 years' experience working in the Northern construction sector
