Description:
As an Instructor, you will be an expert practitioner and key educator in support of both nursing staff and the multi-disciplinary clinical team. You will take a leadership role in the planning, coordination, implementation and evaluation of education for nursing staff including orientation, compulsory and continuing education, and clinical development. You will collaborate with management and internal partners to promote standards of clinical, educational and evidence informed practice. You will play a key role in providing safe, quality patient and family centered care while reflecting the shared vision and values of AHS.

Required Qualifications:
Completion of an accredited nursing education program. Active or eligible for registration and practice permit with the College of Registered Nurses of Alberta (CRNA). Current Basic Cardiac Life Support - Health Care Provider (BCLS-HCP).
Additional Required Qualifications:
1 – 3 years recent acute care Women’s Health in an ambulatory setting experience required. 3 – 5 years recent acute experience with Women’s Health including complex care and management required. 3 – 5 years recent experience in but not limited to Women’s Health diseases, Gynecology, L &D, Urogynecology, Colposcopy, Early Pregnancy Loss in a tertiary setting required. Understanding and demonstrated ability to apply adult teaching principles. Ability to apply evidence-based practice standards in a clinical setting. Ability to work independently and within a team. Proven ability to establish respectful relationships between patients, families, staff and physicians. Successful applicant will have strong interpersonal and communication skills, along with strong critical thinking, organizational, collaborative and conflict management skills. Ability to work in a fast-paced clinic with patients with a variety of mobility levels and assistance required. Ability to respond to clinical emergencies within program required. Pushing/pulling wheelchairs and stretchers with patients required. Moving of equipment may be required throughout the shift.
