Job Description:

· Plan, prepare and deliver lessons that facilitate active learning.
· Assist students and provide appropriate feedback on their work
· Assign and grade homework, tests and assignments.
· Communicate with college staff to understand the program expectations.
Job Details:
· This is a contract position, and the number of working hours depends on assigned classes.
· Currently the classes are conducted online, but the instructor must be available to attend on-campus events when required.
Education & Experience:
· Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Cybersecurity, Information Security, Computer Science, or a related field.
· Minimum 5+ years of hands-on experience in cybersecurity, information security, or network security.
· Certifications in Cybersecurity (e.g., CISSP, CISM, CEH, or equivalent).
· One or more years of teaching experience in cybersecurity is preferred.
· Strong understanding of security frameworks, threat intelligence, and risk management.
· Proven experience in designing and implementing security solutions to safeguard digital assets and infrastructure.
· Expertise in network security, penetration testing, firewalls, VPNs, IDS/IPS, and endpoint security.
· Hands-on experience with SIEM tools, cloud security (Azure, AWS), and security automation tools.
· Familiarity with encryption techniques, cryptography, and secure coding practices.
· Strong knowledge of compliance regulations such as GDPR, HIPAA, or PCI-DSS.
Soft Skills:
· Must possess excellent communication and presentation skills
· Ability to explain new ideas and unfamiliar concepts in a clear and concise way
· Ability to handle students of different backgrounds effectively.
Technical Skills (one or several of these skills):

Networking Essentials (CCNA):
Understanding of basic networking concepts, protocols, and devices.
Knowledge of IP addressing, subnetting, and routing basics.
Hands-on experience with network setup, troubleshooting, and configuration.
IT Infrastructure and Cloud Foundations:
Overview of IT infrastructure components and cloud computing principles.
Familiarity with virtualization, storage, and networking in cloud environments.
Introduction to cloud deployment models and service types (IaaS, PaaS, SaaS).
Programming & Automation for IT:
Introduction to programming concepts using languages like Python and Bash.
Understanding of IT automation tools and scripting for operational tasks.
Application of DevOps practices and tools to automate IT workflows.
Cybersecurity Basics (CompTIA Security+)
Understanding of core cybersecurity concepts and terminology.
Knowledge of network security, risk management, and cryptography.
Ability to apply best practices for securing networks, devices, and data.
Network Security and Firewall Management
Proficiency in configuring and managing firewalls to protect networks.
Understanding of network protocols, VPNs, and secure communication methods.
Ability to implement intrusion detection/prevention systems (IDS/IPS).
Threat Detection, Incident Response, and Forensics
Knowledge of threat detection methods and security monitoring tools.
Understanding of incident response workflows and forensic techniques.
Ability to investigate security breaches and apply recovery measures.
Cloud and Application Security
Familiarity with cloud security models (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP).
Knowledge of securing applications and protecting sensitive data in the cloud.
Understanding of compliance and regulatory frameworks for cloud security.
Cybersecurity Project
Hands-on experience in implementing cybersecurity solutions in real-world scenarios.
Ability to develop and execute a comprehensive security plan for a project.
Experience in identifying vulnerabilities and mitigating risks within a project environment.
