Description:
As an Instructor, you will be an expert practitioner and key educator. You will take a leadership role in the planning, coordination, implementation and evaluation of education for nursing staff including orientation, compulsory and continuing education, and clinical development. You will collaborate with management and internal partners to promote standards of clinical, educational and evidence informed practice. You will play a key role in providing safe, quality patient and family centered care while reflecting the shared vision and values of AHS.

Required Qualifications:
Completion of an accredited nursing education program. Active or eligible for registration and practice permit with the College of Registered Nurses of Alberta (CRNA). Current Basic Cardiac Life Support - Health Care Provider (BCLS-HCP).
Additional Required Qualifications:
Minimum of 5 years nursing experience required. Minimum of 3 years Emergency Department nursing experience; including Charge, Trauma and Triage (CTAS) training required. Excellent clinical knowledge of the Emergency Department processes and procedures required. Excellent communication and organizational skills required. Excellent leadership skills required.
Preferred Qualifications:
Preference will be given to candidates with current CPR, ACLS, BLS, TNCC, PALS NRP and/or ENPC Instructor certification. Emergency Nursing certification an asset. Preference will be given to candidates that also possess clinical experience in perioperative and/or inpatient setting.
