About the Position
The Powerline Apprenticeship Instructor is responsible for maintaining the quality, growth, and sustainability of the program at Lethbridge Polytechnic. The successful candidate will be primarily responsible for delivering excellent theoretical and hands-on instruction, as well as curriculum maintenance.
Position Details
Answer and respond to in-person, telephone, and email inquiries
Promote the program and facilitate recruitment of students
Manage class schedules.
Track student progress and implement interventions as needed
Instruct various essential portions of the program
Content development and ongoing updates and maintenance
Purchase of materials and equipment
Provide reports and updates to the Associate Dean as needed
Establish and maintain critical relationships with key partners and stakeholders
Administrative tasks as needed
Required Qualifications
Journeyman Red Seal Powerline Technician with a minimum of 5 years experience
Strong computer skills and experience with Microsoft Office
Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to develop and foster relationships
Strong organizational skills
Strong oral and written communication skills
Ability to work well in a team environment, as well as independently
Preferred Qualifications
Instructional or training experience
Salary
Commensurate with education and experience according to the Faculty CollectiveAgreement.
