Kryder Law is a fast-growing, plaintiff-side personal injury firm committed to delivering exceptional service to our clients and operating with precision, accountability, and professionalism. We are seeking an Insurance Specialist to play a critical role in ensuring every case is properly set up for success from day one.
This position is ideal for someone who is detail-oriented, proactive, and experienced in identifying, verifying, and managing insurance coverage in personal injury matters.
Core Objectives
Identify and confirm all applicable insurance carriers for each case
Open and set up claims promptly and accurately with all insurers
Verify policy limits, coverage types, and claim details
Maintain accurate, up-to-date insurance data in the case management system
Support Case Managers and Attorneys with reliable, timely insurance information
Key Responsibilities
Review police reports, intake notes, client interviews, and supporting documentation to identify potential insurance carriers
Request police reports and follow up as needed to obtain missing documentation
Contact insurance companies to open claims for:
Liability coverage
UM/UIM coverage
Medical payments coverage
Verify and document:
Policy numbers
Named insureds
Claim numbers
Policy limits
Adjuster names and contact information
Accurately document all communications, updates, and confirmations in the firm’s case management system
Follow up with adjusters and carriers to confirm claim status and obtain requested information
Identify and document additional applicable coverage, including employer policies, household policies, or third-party coverage
Communicate with clients when insurance information is incomplete or unclear
Notify attorneys and case managers immediately of:
Coverage issues
Policy lapses
Denials or disputes
Coordinate closely with Intake and Pre-Litigation teams to ensure claims are opened immediately after sign-up
Maintain an internal database of insurance carriers, adjusters, and claims contacts to improve efficiency
Ensure all communications and data handling comply with privacy, confidentiality, and ethical standards
Perform other duties as assigned
Qualifications
Prior experience in personal injury insurance claims (law firm or insurance carrier preferred)
Strong understanding of liability, UM/UIM, and MedPay coverage
High attention to detail and strong organizational skills
Ability to manage multiple claims and follow-ups simultaneously
Clear, professional communication skills (phone and written)
Comfortable working in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
Experience with legal case management software preferred
Bilingual (English/Spanish) highly preferred.
