About the Role
Health New Zealand - Te Whatu Ora is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Intensive Care Registrar to join our team in Wellington. As an Intensive Care Registrar, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care, developing your clinical skills, and contributing to the growth and development of our ICU department.

We are looking for individuals who possess strong clinical knowledge, excellent communication skills, and a passion for learning and professional development. The successful candidate will work closely with our experienced intensivist team to develop their skills in critical care medicine, including managing complex patient cases, participating in multidisciplinary rounds, and contributing to quality improvement initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:
• Provide high-quality patient care, adhering to established standards and protocols
• Develop and implement plans for patient care, collaborating with other healthcare professionals as needed
• Participate in multidisciplinary rounds and contribute to quality improvement initiatives
• Develop and maintain strong relationships with colleagues and stakeholders across the hospital

Requirements
• Eligibility for general or provisional general registration with the Medical Council of New Zealand
• Minimum 12 months of dedicated anaesthesia experience, demonstrating competency in airway management
• Working at an advanced level within ICU or Anaesthesia, with a strong focus on leadership and supervision
• Ability to work independently, think critically, and prioritize tasks effectively
