Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled MS SQL DBA to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing and maintaining our organization's Microsoft SQL Server databases. The DBA will ensure the performance, security, and reliability of our databases and will be responsible for creating and implementing backup and recovery strategies, ensuring the availability of databases and troubleshooting issues as needed.
Key Responsibilities
• Install, configure and maintain MS SQL Server instances and databases
• Develop and maintain database backup and recovery procedures
• Ensure the security and integrity of the databases
• Monitor database performance and proactively identify and resolve issues
• Troubleshoot database-related issues and provide support to application developers
• Perform database tuning and optimization to maximize performance
• Create and maintain documentation of database architecture, configuration, and processes
• Collaborate with other IT teams to ensure the availability and reliability of all systems
• Participate in on-call support rotation.
Preferred Qualifications
• Microsoft Certified: Azure Database Administrator Associate certification
• Experience with SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS) and SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS)
• Familiarity with cloud-based database technologies such as Azure SQL Database and AWS RDS
• Knowledge of PowerShell and scripting languages for automation
