Description
Specific Accountabilities
• Lead technical design and build for small to medium-sized solutions in a team. Translate functional and non-functional requirements into fit-for-purpose technical design.
• Ensure solution performance, business edge cases, and security-related issues while developing software.
• Debug issues of complexity and follows design documents with minimal or no supervision.
• Code review by peers/technical leads demonstrates good coding principles. Software engineering tasks or problems of moderate to high scope.
• Translate business solution requirements into potential technical solutions based on technical design.
• Acknowledge, investigate, and when possible, recover incidents within service levels using knowledge solutions.
• Escalate incidents outside the scope of team competencies to 3rd-level resolver groups within the client or to external service providers and follow-up.
• Suggest improvements to the Knowledge Solutions database
Qualifications
• Bachelor's degree holder - Information Technology, Computer Science, or equivalent
• At least 5+ years of relevant experience in the airline/aviation/travel industry
• Has experience in DCS or Departure Control System
• Has experience in Reservations Inventory and Ticketing
• Has experience in ground handling.
• Experience in handling escalations, troubleshooting, diagnostics, and consulting.
Mainframe TPF-ALCS: TPF-ALCS, WAS-OLA, SPM, Development, and support in Airline Control System (ALCS), TPF, DCS domain, Fare Quote Ticketing, and Pricing domain, Reservations domain including One Order and New Distribution Capabilities. High-level Assembly, JCL, restructured eXtended eXecutor (REXX), Turbo Scripting (T2SE), Java for WAS-OLA, SPM, equally experienced in both development and support of passenger service systems namely Airline Control System, Departure Control Systems domain that includes Check-in, Boarding, Flight handling capabilities.
Work location: Chennai / New Zealand ( Ready to travel onsite for short and long term)
