Reporting Relationship : VP/ AVP Investment Banking
Location : Chennai or Bangalore
Role Description
• Play a key supporting role in several client engagements by being a part of the Transaction Execution team in Private Equity and M&A transactions across sectors
Provide Necessary Support To The AVPs, VPs And Partners By Being Highly Responsive To Their Needs In The Transaction Execution Process And Getting Involved In The Following Activities
• Collaterals - Preparation of Pitch book, Teaser document, Confidential Information Memorandum
• Financial Modelling & Analysis
• Accounting, commercial and legal due diligence
• Transaction documentation
• Build a strong understanding of the client organization and the sector in which the client operates and use this knowledge to improve the analysis of the financial parameters
• Interface appropriately with the client and provide constructive inputs in the transaction execution process
• Build strong relationships with appropriate client representatives to ensure smooth information flow & aid in the transaction execution process
• Work seamlessly with several VPs and Partners within the organization and adapt to varied operating/management styles
• Contribute to internal initiatives that build value for the firm in the long term
Skills, Experience & Qualifications
Strong foundational Finance skills with a solid understanding of the following :
• Valuation Analysis
• Financial Modelling
Key Financial Parameters
• Accounting Aspects in detail and Corporate law & Tax aspects at a broad level
• Strong Academic Background - CA (preferably a rank- holder)
• 1- 2 years of Relevant work experience in due diligence / transaction advisory practice of Big4 accounting firms or Associates / Sr Associates in other investment banks
• Reasonable understanding of strategic aspects of business
• Strong skills in preparing collaterals / presentations
• Pleasant Personality with good written and oral communication skills
• Ability to work with multiple stakeholders
