Integrated Safety Response (ISR) is a multi-agency initiative ensuring families experiencing family violence get the help they need from Government and community services. ISR involves core agencies closely working together to support victims, perpetrators and their families. ISR operates in two sites - Christchurch and Hamilton.

Police is the operational lead and hosting agency for ISR, as part of Te Puna Aonui - the Joint Venture for Family Violence and ****** Violence.

ISR operates seven days a week, so flexibility is required as you may be required to work some weekends and statutory holidays.

We are looking for someone who is proactive, analytical, and solutions-focused. You will be comfortable working with data and trends, identifying opportunities for improvement, and turning ideas into practical action. You will be a confident communicator, able to build strong relationships across agencies, and someone who takes ownership, shows initiative, and supports a positive and professional team culture.

In this role you will manage up to 10 direct reports and support the operational aspects of a multi-agency programme. A good team ethos, strong communication skills and a passion for leading and engaging people will see you thriving in this role!

Key Accountabilities:

Monitor and analyse ISR to ensure it is effective and provide strategies for improvement
Communicate and lead the delivery of a compelling vision, which aligns with strategic goals, and motivates others
Recommend improvements to the Integrated Safety Response in keeping with guidelines and with input from stakeholders
Support the frontline staff to provide an effective and timely response to those in need
Identify and drive continual improvement based on the evidence provided from the Safety Assessment and Intensive Case Management Meetings and stakeholders

Comfortable working in environments where processes and systems are evolving, with the ability to adapt, prioritise, and bring clarity to complexity.
Highly organised, with strong planning and coordination skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
Coordinating or managing cross-sectoral or multi-disciplinary teams
Relevant tertiary qualification (e.g. management, psychology, education, social work, health).

Utu a-tau | Salary

This position is covered by a collective agreement and salary will commence between $110,425 and $117,014 dependent on skills and experience relevant to the role.
