Interior Decorator/Retail Sales Associate

We also carry a beautifully curated décor line which goes a step beyond other paint stores in helping our customers achieve their interior design and decorating goals.

We are looking for an energetic, confident and creative candidate who is driven and is passionate about work. We offer hands on training and product knowledge. Responsibilities and duties include but are not limited to the following:

Communicating with customers across multiple channels (attending phone calls, answering queries over the phone or in person, returning calls regarding product availability etc.)

Developing advantageous customer relations with both our retail and contractor based clientele.

Resolving customer complaints and escalating queries to the appropriate staff members.

Constantly developing ways in collaboration with other staff members to market products, change store displays, ways to engage more customers and increase sales.

Tinting, shaking, matching of paint colours and stains.

Receiving shipments, checking and putting them away. Making lists of items that are running low or out of stock and submitting them to the appropriate staff.

Making sure the shelves are always well stocked and store is kept in an orderly manner at all times.

Keeping track of customer transactions, communications and feedback.

Maintaining colour displays and product literature and re-ordering as and when required.

Skills and expectations:

Having a retail experience (1-2 years) will be considered an added advantage at the time of interview.

Processing customer orders, requests and returns in a timely and friendly manner. Be able to work on Point of Sales system and computer literate.

Experience and a passion for interior design/decorating.

Strong communication skills and attention to detail.

Ability to life paint cans and pails and other supplies.

Ability to stand long hours.

Ability to multi-task (help a customer with colour and while they decide, tint paint for another and cash out another in the next instance).

During quiet times, you are expected to keep the workplace organized and clean.

Commitment to showing up on time for your shift (at least 5 minutes early) and willingness to stay behind if required.

Friendly and respectful towards co-workers and customers.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: From $17.20 per hour

Expected hours: 10 – 20 per week
