About The Role:
The Crowd are partnered with a large, highly-sought after, globally renowned architectural firm known for its focus on innovation, sustainability, and design excellence. They are seeking an Interior Design Director to join their team in Atlanta to spearhead their interior design division.
With a background in either interior design or architecture, ideally with extensive corporate workspace experience and knowledge of all work stages, you will have the confidence to lead the design excellence of the company across all projects from concept to completion. This is a pivotal role within the firm where you will be required to set the standards, provide clear leadership and direction and ensure the successful delivery of high-calibre projects.
This all-encompassing and rewarding role will work along the senior leadership team, to develop and drive the team – mentoring and inspiring others and acting as a main point of contact across projects.

Key Responsibilities:
• Lead the interior design team and drive the firm’s creative vision through all project phases
• Oversee project quality and ensure design excellence throughout
• Mentor and develop designers and other team members
• Serve as the primary liaison with clients and key stakeholders
• Manage project budgets and other project financials
• Participate in fee negotiations and other business development strategies
• Lead design and leadership meetings
• Contribute to company growth strategies and other commercial decisions
• Monitor and provide guidance on staff resource needs
• Act as a company ambassador and main point of contact, internally and externally
Key Skills/Requirements:
• 15+ years of experience in a similar role
• Degree or qualification in interior design, architecture, or a related field
• Previous experience in a leadership position ideally with a top-tier firm
• Proficiency in MS Office and Adobe
• Proficiency in Rhino / Grasshopper
• Skilled in visualization software
• Knowledge of building codes and industry regulations
• Design-focused with a strong commercial mindset
• Excellent verbal and written English and strong numeracy skills
• Approachable, collaborative, and team-oriented
