It has made its mark at both National and International level.NIFD is also the worlds largest network of design institutes having presence in over 6 countries and 4 continents offering Fashion, Interior and Textile Design Courses where Interior Design students significantly mentored by Renowned Celebrity Interior Designer Twinkle Khanna and Fashion Design Students proudly mentored by Iconic Fashion Designer Mr. Manish Malhotra and Ashley RebelloNIFD Student Designers Concurrently Showcase at Lakme Fashion Week, London Fashion week and New York Fashion week and are setting New Milestones every season.Role DescriptionThe Interior Design Faculty is responsible for teaching courses in interior design theory, history, technical skills,design process and studio practice. They provide instruction that prepares students for careers in interior design, emphasizing both theoretical knowledge and practical application. Key Responsibilities: Teaching and Curriculum Development: -Deliver courses in interior design, ensuring alignment with program goals and industry standards. -Create lesson plans, assignments, and
assessments that foster student learning and engagement. -Incorporate current trends, technologies, and best practices in interior design into the curriculum. Student Mentorship: -Advise and mentor students on academic and career-related matters. -Provide constructive feedback on student work to support their growth and development. -Foster a supportive and inclusive learning environment that encourages creativity and critical thinking. Professional Development: -Stay updated with developments in the field of interior design through research, conferences, workshops, and professional memberships. -Maintain professional connections and networks within the industry. Collaboration and Service: -Collaborate with other faculty members and staff to enhance the overall educational experience and curriculum coherence. -Participate in departmental meetings, committees, and other service activities.Qualifications-Masters degree or higher in Interior Design, Architecture, or a related field. -Prior teaching experience at the college or university level, with a demonstrated ability to teach and mentor students effectively. -Professional experience in interior design practice is often preferred. -Proficiency in relevant software and technologies used in interior design education. Skills and Competencies: -Strong communication and interpersonal skills. -Ability to inspire and motivate students. -Organizational and time-management skills to manage multiple courses and responsibilities effectively. -Commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion in education. Working Conditions: -Typically works in a classroom or studio setting within an educational institution. -May involve some evening or weekend hours, especially during peak academic periods.
