Position Summary:
Woodlink Interiors Private Limited is seeking a qualified and experienced Interior Designer to join its Design & Development team at the manufacturing plant. The primary responsibility of the role is to conceptualize, design, and oversee the implementation of interior spaces, ensuring alignment with client requirements, design standards, and company objectives. The role will involve working closely with the production team, architects, engineers, and other stakeholders to ensure the timely and quality execution of design projects.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design Conceptualization:
- Develop interior design concepts based on client specifications, functional requirements, and aesthetic objectives. Produce design mockups, floor plans, and 3D visualizations as required.
- Space Planning:
- Effectively plan interior layouts to optimize space usage, functionality, and design flow. Ensure that designs comply with applicable building codes, regulations, and safety standards.
- Material Selection:
- Evaluate and select appropriate materials, finishes, and furnishings to meet design specifications while considering factors such as durability, cost, and aesthetic quality.
- Design Documentation:
- Prepare comprehensive design documentation, including technical drawings, specifications, and material lists. Ensure that all design documentation is clear, precise, and compliant with industry standards.
- Collaboration and Coordination:
- Work in close coordination with architects, engineers, project managers, and contractors to ensure the design vision is accurately implemented. Address any technical or logistical issues that may arise during the design and construction phases.
- Client Consultation:
- Interact with clients to understand their design needs, preferences, and budget constraints. Present design proposals and make recommendations to align with client expectations.
- Project Oversight:
- Monitor the progress of design projects, ensuring that timelines, budgets, and quality standards are adhered to. Conduct regular site visits to inspect the installation and execution of designs.
- Quality Assurance:
- Ensure that the final design output meets the required quality standards, ensuring design integrity and consistency throughout the project.
Qualifications:
- Educational Requirements:
- A Diploma degree or above in Interior Design, Architecture, or a related field is required.
- Experience:
- A fresher or above experience in interior design.
- Demonstrated experience in residential, commercial, and/or industrial design projects is an advantage.
- Technical Skills:
- Proficiency in design software, including AutoCAD, Revit, SketchUp, or equivalent design tools.
- In-depth knowledge of interior design principles, space planning, and building codes.
- Strong understanding of material selection, finishes, and furnishings.
- Personal Competencies:
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with diverse teams and clients.
- Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to address design challenges and offer practical solutions.
- Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously.
Additional Requirements:
- Travel: Occasional travel to client locations, vendor sites, and showrooms may be required.
- Physical Requirements: The role may involve visiting construction sites or manufacturing facilities, which may require walking or standing for extended periods.
