Roles and Responsibilities:
• Meet with clients to determine their design needs, preferences, and budget constraints.
• Understand and interpret clients' design briefs, and develop design concepts that align with their vision and functional requirements.
• Create detailed and accurate floor plans, 3D renderings, and design presentations to communicate design ideas to clients and project stakeholders.
• Select appropriate materials, finishes, furniture, lighting, and accessories to create cohesive and visually appealing interior spaces.
• Collaborate with architects, contractors, and suppliers to ensure that design specifications are met and projects are executed as per schedule and budget.
• Develop and maintain relationships with vendors, contractors, and suppliers to source materials and furnishings for projects.
• Provide guidance and direction to junior designers and design assistants, and oversee their work to ensure design integrity and quality.
• Stay updated on industry trends, new materials, and innovative design techniques to incorporate fresh and creative ideas into projects.
• Conduct site visits to assess existing spaces, take measurements, and coordinate with contractors during the construction or renovation phase.
• Prepare and present project proposals, including cost estimates, timelines, and design concepts, to clients for approval.
• Prepare detailed design documentation, including specifications, schedules, and drawings, for implementation by contractors and suppliers.
• Ensure that design projects comply with building codes, regulations, and industry standards.
• Manage multiple projects simultaneously, prioritize tasks, and meet project deadlines.
• Provide ongoing project support, including attending meetings, addressing client concerns, and resolving design-related issues.
• Maintain accurate project records, including documentation of design changes, approvals, and project progress.
• Collaborate with the sales and marketing team to develop marketing materials and participate in client presentations and industry events.
• Uphold and promote the company's design standards, values, and brand image.
Eligibility Criteria:
• Bachelor's degree in Interior Design, Architecture, or a related field. Certification in Interior Design is a plus.
• Proven work experience as an Interior Designer, with a strong portfolio showcasing successful design projects.
• Proficiency in design software such as AutoCAD, SketchUp, 3D rendering software, and Adobe Creative Suite.
• Strong knowledge of interior design principles, materials, finishes, and furniture.
• Excellent visual and spatial awareness, with a keen eye for detail and aesthetics.
• Strong creativity and ability to think outside the box to create unique and innovative design solutions.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively communicate design ideas and concepts to clients and project stakeholders.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and coordinate with various professionals involved in the design and construction process.
• Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to handle multiple projects and meet project deadlines.
• Knowledge of building codes, regulations, and industry standards related to interior design.
• Knowledge of sustainable design practices and ability to incorporate environmentally friendly elements into designs is a plus.
