SMC Design is looking for a talented and driven Interior Designer to join our creative team. We are a design-focused studio that thrives on delivering one-of-a-kind interiors with a high level of detail and originality. We're seeking someone who not only has strong technical skills but also a passion for bringing unique ideas to life and confidence in managing construction trades.
Key Responsibilities:
Produce accurate and detailed drawings using AutoCAD, SketchUp, and Enscape
Contribute creatively to conceptual design and presentation development
Conduct solo site visits and confidently liaise with trades, suppliers, and contractors to resolve on-site issues
Collaborate closely with the internal team while also demonstrating independent problem-solving and time management
Assist in the day-to-day flow of design and project coordination in a busy, hands-on office environment
Communicate effectively with clients, vendors, and design team to address client's needs
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Interior Design or Architecture
2 - 3 years of experience in related fields
Proficiency in AutoCAD, SketchUp, and Enscape is essential
Strong design sensibility and a portfolio that reflects originality and creative thinking
A self-starter who can manage tasks independently while contributing positively to a team dynamic
Excellent communication and organizational skills
Must be available to work full-time, in-office, and comfortable handling solo site responsibilities
