Your role
Maintaining general ledger to include preparation and posting of journal entries, analysis, reconciliation and reporting in line with Standard Operating Procedures
Perform daily bank reconciliation through global tool and ensure breaks are cleared by respective owner
Preparation of Monthly FX sell down workings and sending payment instructions to cash management team
Perform monthly balance sheet substantiation for accounts and centres under ownership
Support Monthly, Quarterly and yearly closing of books of accounts and entity signoffs
Preparation of financial files and seeking commentaries on MoM variances
Understand our clients’ needs and expectations
Bring in process efficiencies/improvements/data quality projects to strengthen controls and reduce manual adjustments.
Make sure the risk culture within UBS India is well understood
Continuous improvement focus and ability to apply process
Your team
You will be working in the APAC Operational Accounting team in India (Hyderabad) is part of Group finance and we are responsible for supporting APAC entity controllers in performing various daily and monthly activities
Your expertise
University degree with a strong understanding of accounting principles
Ability to multitask, work independently, willingness and capability to build robust control environment for existing processes
Critical thinking & Data Analysis skills
Attention to detail and strong process improvement capabilities by challenging As-Is process
Exhibit Strong commitment to develop, maintain and abide by a strong control framework
Strong team player able to handle multiple tasks and managing conflicting priorities
Able to establish and maintain effective relationships with both internal and external clients.
Excellent written and verbal communication Skills
Flexible approach on working hours and work timings
