Lead Internal Quality Assurer

We are looking for an experienced and enthusiastic leader currently residing within the training sector to oversee the IQA framework to support learners across both non-funded and Government funded programs within the construction sector.
The role reports directly to the Head of Operations and will have direct interaction with various departments, multiple areas and senior managers across the business. You will also be communicating with awarding organisations, the Department for Education and Combined Authorities in your day-to-day work.
Engaging with our dedicated team, you will provide key recommendations and targeted support to services that ensure we are meeting regulatory requirements and to assist in highlighting early areas that need support. In addition, you will develop and deliver a UK-wide business plan that is consistent with the overall operational strategy.
You will provide quality assurance sampling of qualifications and support a team of assessors to understand and apply the standards and assessment requirements of construction related qualifications.
Internal Quality Assurer duties
Work with the Head of Quality Assurance and wider team to drive quality of teaching and learning across the delivery team through the observation and sampling strategies
Support and monitor the training and towards meeting company and governing body standards and timescales
Provide continuous support and guidance to the assessors with all matters regarding training and assessment
Undertake observations of IQA activity of key learner processes, including learning and assessment, to support continuous improvement and to be involved in the moderation process to ensure a standard approach is adopted
Participate in regular team and moderation meetings
Undertake audits of internal quality assurance as to ensure compliance with all policies and procedures
Liaise with the awarding bodies to ensure documentation and records are maintained to the highest standards and completed on time
Provide support in preparing for visits, assessments and inspections from external stakeholders such as awarding body visits such as external quality assurance activity
Work closely with management team on quality matters, identify and prioritise areas for interventions and maintain a good, supportive and constructive relationship with colleagues.
Skills and Experience required
Related experience working as an Internal Quality Assurer
Experience with working eportfolo assessment programs
Up to date knowledge of construction qualifications
An Internal Quality Assurance qualification such as:
Level 3 Award in Assessing Competence in the Work Environment
Level 3 Award in Assessing Vocationally Related Achievement
Level 3 Certificate in Assessing Vocational Achievement
Level 4 Award in the Internal Quality Assurance of Assessment Processes and
Practices
Level 4 Certificate in Leading the Internal Quality Assurance of Assessment
Processes and Practice
Sector competence within construction
Knowledge and experience dealing awarding bodies and Ofsted inspection
Own transport and flexibility to travel to our office or onsite with learners when required on occasions dictated by our program schedule.
