International Banking Senior Executive
Amerant Bank seeks a seasoned International Banking Senior Executive to join our team.
About the Role:
This is a unique opportunity to lead cross-selling activities, develop and manage complex financial relationships with international clients. You will be responsible for promoting banking products and services, assessing client needs, preferences, and banking capabilities.
Key Responsibilities:
• Promote banking products and services through personal interactions, analysis of customer data, and market trends.
• Develop and execute sales strategies to meet or exceed sales quotas.
• Analyze statistics to identify opportunities and challenges in meeting sales targets.
• Manage cash secured loans, investments secured loans, and other financial instruments.
• Review and approve overdrafts reports to ensure compliance with bank policies and regulations.
• Monitor loan portfolios to prevent past due payments and follow up with customers for renewals or payments.
• Provide exceptional customer service, resolving claims and requests in an expedited manner while maintaining confidentiality.
• Contact clients to uncover opportunities arising from changes in deposit balances.
• Recommend and execute lines of credit, loans, and other credit transactions within lending authority.
• Approve commercial and standby letters of credit, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
• Conduct regular reviews and monitoring of accounts to ensure compliance with BSA, USA Patriot Act, OFAC, and other AML-related issues.
• Negotiate price transactions with clients to maintain client relationships while increasing profitability.
• Evaluate and report potential risks to earnings or capital arising from violations of laws, rules, or internal policies.
• Participate in seminars and training sessions to stay updated on changing regulations, industry trends, and conditions.
Requirements:
To succeed in this role, you must possess a Bachelor's degree in finance or business, with 5-10 years of experience in international banking. Bilingual English/Spanish proficiency is required.
Preferred Qualifications:
MBA, solid knowledge of banking products, superior sales, negotiation, and relationship management skills, assertiveness, and leadership abilities.
Estimated Salary: $85,000 - $110,000 per annum, based on location and experience.
