About
GIFT City IFSC Banking Unit is an offshore branch of the Bank, located in GIFT IFSC, Gandhinagar and offers FCY products and services to Non Resident Corporates and Individuals.
Product offerings to Resident Corporates and Individuals are as per FEMA guidelines. The IBU is regulated by IFSC Authority, the unified regulator for GIFT City IFSC.
About the Role
The role of CARO at GIFT City IBU is a "Designated Position" and to be held by an "Approved Individual" at all times, as per IFSCA regulations.
As CARO of the IBU, you need to perform your duties objectively and independently of operational and business functions. You shall have ultimate responsibility for all compliance and risk matters pertaining to IBU's activities.
Key Responsibilities
• Implementing Regulatory IFSCA/RBI/FEMA guidelines and Internal policies
• Implementing Regulatory IFSCA/RBI/FEMA guidelines and Internal policies
• Risk Based Supervision Coordinating off site and Onsite Review by IFSCA and other auditors
• Risk Based Supervision Coordinating off site and Onsite Review by IFSCA and other auditors
• Formulation and Periodic review of Policies / Mandated reviews & PMC / CMC Notes, Internal Circulars
• Establishing Compliance Monitoring Plan and review of the same
• Assisting Walk through and Control testing, Outsourcing review every half year
• Operational Risk Identification and Assessment; submission of Key Risk Indicator values and review
Qualifications:
• Any Masters Degree with overall experience of 10+ years out of which a minimum experience of 4 years in Compliance/ Risk, preferably related to International business
• Relevant Compliance and Risk related certifications such as GRC etc. This would help in passing Fit & Proper evaluation by IFSCA, which is a mandatory assessment for "Approved Individuals"
Role Proficiencies:
• Positive and collaborative attitude with good communication skills
• Thorough with RBI & FEMA regulations & internal compliance and risk policies, preferably international business
• Ability to understand evolving regulatory landscape and formulate / review policies
• Proactive in learning & self development.
