About the role
Lifeblood is seeking an International Networks and Benchmarking Manager to support the delivery of our international networks program and contribute high quality global insights that informs business decision‑making.
This is a Perth‑based role with a hybrid working model, combining remote work with regular in‑office collaboration. Due to the global nature of the role, flexible working hours are required to accommodate international time zones as well as international travel.
Reporting to, and working in close partnership with, the Director, International Services, you will play a key role in leading Lifeblood’s engagement with international networks including the Alliance of Blood Operators (ABO) and the Asia Pacific Blood Network (APBN).
This role focuses on the delivery of network strategic plans and work programs, Secretariat coordination, and the preparation of executive‑ready papers and presentations. You will work collaboratively with the Director and the broader International Services team to ensure global benchmarking, intelligence and insights are effectively synthesised and presented for Executive and Board‑level forums.
You will also contribute to the team’s horizon scanning activities, supporting the identification, analysis and communication of emerging global trends, risks and opportunities relevant to Lifeblood and the international blood sector. You will provide day‑to‑day leadership to a specialist team of two direct reports, supporting capability development and strong team connection.
Key responsibilities
Work closely with the Director, International Services to deliver ABO and APBN strategic plans and international work programs
Provide strong people leadership across benchmarking, analytics and secretariat functions
Coordinate and prepare high‑quality papers, briefings and presentations for Executive, Board and international governance forums, in partnership with the Director
Translate international intelligence, benchmarking data and insights into clear, decision‑ready insights for senior leaders
Support Executive engagement through briefings, presentations and background materials
Contribute to international horizon scanning, monitoring global developments, emerging trends, risks and opportunities
Synthesise horizon‑scanning outputs into reports, briefings and presentations to support insight‑led discussions
Oversee international benchmarking, analytics and knowledge‑exchange activities
Build and maintain strong relationships with senior international stakeholders, working alongside the Director and team
Provide Secretariat oversight for international Boards, committees and in‑person meetings
Participate in and lead international meetings and videoconferences, including outside normal working hours, to support global collaboration

A collaborative, delivery‑focused leader who is comfortable supporting work at senior executive level within a team‑based environment.
A relevant tertiary qualification (Health, Public Health, International Development or similar)
Demonstrated people leadership experience
Strong program and project management capability
Proven experience preparing briefings, papers and presentations for Executive or Board‑level audiences, often in collaboration with senior leaders
Advanced capability in data analysis, benchmarking and insight translation
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Ability to work flexibly across international time zones
Willingness to undertake domestic and international travel
Experience in international relations, governance, health‑sector benchmarking or Secretariat‑style roles will be highly regarded.
