The Chief Operations Office (COO) is leading the integration of ING into this new era of the financial services industry. COO brings together many disciplines which means that as a trainee you will be working at the intersection of digitalization, client servicing and data management. You will also play a crucial role in keeping ING and the proprietary information that our customers entrust with us safe and secure. This role demands talented people that can drive process optimization/standardization, consider changes needed from end-to-end and maneuver effectively between an operational environment and the board room.
Your journey: 2 years. 3 rotations.
Rotation 1: Your HR trainee manager will help you choose your first rotation based on your personal interests and learning goals. This rotation lasts approimately si months. For eample, you could take on a role where you focus on improving the operational ecellence of teams that deal with customer enquiries and requests, engaging in dynamic projects focused on strengthening innovation, workflow enhancement, and operational resilience.
Rotation 2: With these new eperiences and contacts, you are in charge of arranging your second rotation. Now it comes down to addressing your network and taking the initiative. We encourage it to gain international eperience during this si-month period, which is not only fun but is also good for your personal and professional development.
Rotation 3: After two rotations, you now have a better understanding of which direction you would like to go and are ready to choose your third rotation. Are you broadening your knowledge within your track, or would you like to eplore another business area altogether? During your third rotation you’ll start networking for your fied position. This permanent role lets you go deeper into the field right from the start. You epand your knowledge and hone your skills, while working on your further development as e.g. a Junior Consultant, Blackbelt or Lead of a Customer Loyalty Team.
Training and Coaching
Your HR trainee manager coaches you during your three rotations. During your traineeship, you participate in two Global Trainee events focused on professional and personal skills together with all ING’s trainees – across all tracks – from around the world. On top of this, throughout the year various virtual trainee days are organized where you’ll learn about ING and work on your professional skills.

Base Salary: $85,000
Our Operations and Change trainee
Holds a degree preferably in Operations Management, Business Information Management, Change Management, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Industrial Engineering and/or Risk Management.
Has an interest in financial services and an innovative take on process management.
Is data- and process-driven and has a strong drive to achieve efficiency, optimization and standardization.
E
cellent stakeholder management and communication skills varying seniority levels.
Is a forward thinker that applies their strong communication skills to build relationships across the organization.
Is a self-starter and innovator who stays ahead of industry changes and regulatory developments to implement effective change.
