David creates tools to increase muscle and decrease fat. Our first product is a protein bar. More broadly, David is a platform to develop high-protein, low-calorie, blood-sugar-friendly foods that are craveable.

Role & Responsibilities:
As an Inventory Analyst at David, you will be responsible for building models, developing inventory plans, and making day-to-day decisions that keep our products in stock and our inventory balanced across the business.
You will own key aspects of inventory strategy, spanning retail customers, internal supply planning, manufacturing, 3PL partners, and sales channels. You will analyze large, complex data sets to uncover risks and opportunities, translate insights into clear recommendations, and influence decisions around replenishment, production timing, and channel allocation.
This role regularly presents to senior leadership on inventory performance, key initiatives, tradeoffs, and strategic recommendations, supported by clear metrics, scenarios, and action plans.
In this role you will:
Analyze and interpret large, complex inventory, retail, and customer data sets to uncover trends, risks, and opportunities
Build, maintain, and own inventory and demand models that surface constraints across manufacturing, 3PLs, distribution, and retail fulfillment networks before they impact sales
Investigate fluctuations in inventory position, demand pacing, and ordering patterns
Translate demand, supply, and commercial inputs into actionable inventory plans, including production timing, replenishment cadence, and channel allocation
Collaborate with Retail, Supply Chain, Commercial, and Leadership teams to develop strategic inventory recommendations that support growth while minimizing stockouts
Partner directly with retail customers and external fulfillment partners to influence ordering behavior, improve instock rates, and unlock incremental revenue
Present inventory performance, risks, and strategic recommendations to senior leadership using clear metrics, scenarios, and decision frameworks
Requirements
2+ years of experience in a fast-paced, high intensity work environment (investing, consulting, strategy, business operations, or early-stage startups)
Preferred: experience in CPG, Retail, or Inventory Operations
Strong analytical skills and intellectual curiosity
Comfortable speaking directly with fulfillment and warehousing partners
Comfortable working in a fast-paced, lean environment with high standards
Proficient in and familiar with creating, maintaining, and improving data models in Excel
Comfortable navigating ambiguity and switching between high-level thinking and hands-on work
Self-starting attitude with a love for executing on ideas and moving quickly
High IQ/intellectual horsepower
Low ego, high self-awareness, and eagerness to learn
Desire to help build an early-stage CPG company with a mission to create tools to increase muscle and decrease fat
This is a full-time, in-office role based in New York City. We work onsite five days a week — when the culture fits, it is fun to be in the office together.
Benefits
This is a full-time role.
Salary: $90,000 - $120,000 per year, inclusive of cash bonus based on attainment of company targets
