Experience / Qualification:
Experience: 3-6 years
Experience at (below order is according to preference):
- Venture capital
- Private equity
- Investment bank
- Top accounting firm
- Bank - wealth management department
- Degree in business/economics, finance, accounting
Key Responsibilities:
1. Conduct research and provide necessary support in deal sourcing.
2. Connect and meet with founders of companies, industry experts and others to source deals.
3. Sector research, current trends, developments and players in the market. Understand and draft research report on the potential investment areas for the management.
4. Due diligence: analyses and interpretation of financial statements of companies - e.g. P&L, balance sheet, cash flow etc.
5. Write financial research summaries and make informed recommendations to the management.
6. Understand the products offered, business metrics, financial models and projections of potential investments.
7. Monitor and collate the performance metrics of former investments / portfolio companies and provide support to existing deals.
Skills Required:
Strong research skills, interpersonal and communication skills, financial expertise and familiarity with financial statements and data, quantitative and analytical skills, decision making skills, organizational skills, investment knowledge.
