Janney Montgomery Scott's Financial Services team is seeking full-time candidates, for an experienced Investment Banking Analyst position in their Atlanta office, who have demonstrated professional, academic, and extracurricular achievement and possess strong quantitative, analytical, and interpersonal skills. Industry areas of focus are commercial banks, consumer and commercial finance companies, Business Development companies, Insurance and REITS.
Analysts serve as key members of mergers and acquisitions and capital raising transaction teams, drafting information memorandum, developing management and investor presentations and participating in the deal process from start to finish. Analysts also create and analyze financial models, develop client presentations and conduct industry research.
Responsibilities:
• Prepare marketing documents, pitch materials, confidential information memoranda, board presentations, management presentations, etc.
• Create valuation analysis, including comparable companies, comparable transactions, discounted cash flows, etc.
• Conduct financial due diligence and industry research
• Create detailed operating financial models
• Support senior bankers in their relationship management responsibilities
Qualifications:
• Undergraduate degree; Finance & Accounting preferred but other majors will be considered
• 2-3 years professional experience in finance preferred
• History of outstanding academic and extracurricular achievement
• Ability to collaborate and work effectively with diverse team members
• Strong quantitative, analytical, and interpersonal skills
• High level of initiative, motivation, attention to detail, positive attitude, and the ability to work in a project or deadline-driven environment
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
