Job Description
Work on origination and execution of transactions (capital raising, M&A, corporate restructurings) as part of sector / country coverage / M&A
Deal Origination:
• Work with senior bankers on the analysis and development of transaction ideas for discussion with clients
• In-depth analysis of companies / sectors / transactions - financial modelling, valuation, industry analysis and bench-marking
Transaction Execution:
• Work as an integral member of deal teams on mandated transactions (capital raising, M&A, corporate restructurings)
• Transaction coordination - both internally as well as with clients / third parties (other banks, law firms, auditors etc.)
• Financial analysis, valuation and modelling of companies / transaction structures
• Development of investment thesis (analyst presentations, roadshow presentations, information memorandums etc.)
• Conduct due diligence and coordinate deal documentation
The Successful Applicant
• Individuals with 1-3 years of post MBA experience OR 3-4 years of pre-MBA experience in investment banking
• Education from Tier 1 institutes only (IIMs, ISB, XLRI, SP Jain; Preferred batches 2020 or 2021) or CAs (2026 or 2020 - AIR preferred)
• Tech sector focus is a MUST (Internet, Fintech, SaaS exposure preferred)
• Good level of proficiency in accounting and financial analysis of companies
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Attention to detail, number oriented and good level of motivation
• Proficiency in the use of MS Excel and MS PowerPoint
• Flexibility to work late hours as needed
