Work Arrangements: This is a hybrid role. You will work in our office in Waterloo, ON a minimum of two (2) assigned, consecutive days every other week, plus a fifth (5th) assigned day per month. You are welcome to work from the office more than the minimum requirement, and there may be some roles that are required to work in our office more than the minimum requirement.
What you’ll do:
Support the implementation of corporate policies, standards, and daily valuation of the segregated funds and custodial NAV oversight
Bank and general ledger reconciliation
Cash management reconciliation
Cash movement and wire processing to custodian and external companies/partners
Process segregated fund trades, distributions, and income
Process general fund trades and income related to short-term investments, bonds, preferred shares, linked accounts, direct equities, real estate funds, private placements and handling of corporate actions
First compliance check of trades with current investment policies
Settlement of custodial trades
What you’ll bring:
Previous investment back-office experience including segregated or mutual funds
Knowledge and experience in accounting and financial reporting
Analytical and problem-solving skills
Sound day-to-day time management skills in a fast-paced environment
Attention to detail
Quickly learn and leverage multiple systems and applications
Ability to handle issues as they arise, knowing when to escalate critical ones
Communication and interpersonal skills
Knowledge and experience with investment administration systems
Knowledge of Pam for Investments, Finbourne LUSID, RBC Investor Services, PeopleSoft, Fundserv, Bloomberg, RBC Express or Edge is an asset
Experience with private placements is an asset
Proficient in tools like Teams, Sharepoint, Word and Powerpoint is an asset
Technical skills like MS Excel, VBA, Power BI or Power Query, SQL and Python is an asset.
