Wealth Management (WM) Investment Risk & Analytics (IR&A) is responsible for the risk oversight of the Managed Strategies from end to end across the WM's Private Bank and Consumer Bank businesses. Managed Strategies included JPMorgan's own proprietary products and third-party funds to include registered funds, exchange traded notes (ETNs), exchange traded funds (ETFs), separately managed accounts, hedge funds, and private equity and real estate funds, etc. We cover investments from product onboarding, to ongoing governance and oversight and proactively oversee risks arising from the management of over $1 trillion in AUM. We are looking for an associate to partner with senior members of our team to oversee business activities related to investment risk. with an emphasis on challenging existing methodologies for processes like Stress Testing and developing new reports and tools that will aid in risk identification and quantification.
Job responsibilities:
Identify risk issues in the business and perform reviews into such areas to identify gaps and recommend risk mitigation strategies
Represent Risk in working groups and/or meetings and review key risk issues, as appropriate
Aid in performing Investments-related deep dives and other ad hoc projects
Strive to develop a deep understanding of methodologies and processes and suggest enhancements
Use your knowledge of Statistics, Mathematics and techniques like AI/ML to provide further insights into current and potential risks for portfolios
Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills
Have a Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Finance, Engineering or similar fields. Master's degree in Finance or similar fields, CFA, FRM will be preferred
Have at least 5 years experience in Financial Services with demonstrated usage of Data Science, AI/ML techniques
Are analytically inclined, with knowledge of data visualization tools (ex. Tableau) or programming (ex. Python) being an added advantage
Are a self-starter with good experience with Project Management or Product Management
Have experience with investment products including fixed income, equity, and mutual funds preferred
Appreciate the value of joining forces and working in partnership with others to accomplish our goals and can handle many different tasks
Will use your knowledge to find answers to pressing problems and create workable solutions and at the same time demonstrate willingness to take on responsibilities that may lay outside your area of expertise.
