Our team is developing a rich ecosystem which provides various remote interactions with our customers' assets either stationary or mobile. Our current deployments include IOT sensors in EVs, EV batteries, IC vehicles, Charging Stations and other subsystems of the Ecosystem. Our web and mobile apps allow our customers to interact with their IoT assets in real-time with low-latency bidirectional communication giving them a seamless and fluid experience. We are currently building a state-of-the-art platform to take our products and services to a level which is an order of magnitude better than any of the offerings currently in the market with an eventual goal of offering services across the world.
As an IOS Mobile Application Developer, you will be specialized in building fluid mobile applications with simple and intuitive user interfaces. The applications you help us build will bring novel functionality to millions of IoT customers and users soon. Our core beliefs are to engineer for scalability, performance, flexibility, security and simplicity for our customers and users.
Roles & Responsibilities
You will be focusing on development of IOS applications and their integration with back-end services. You will be working in a team with other engineers and developers working on different layers of the application and infrastructure stack.
Mastery of the IOS SDK, App’s service architecture and user experience is a must.
You will Design Apps for different versions of IOS, different screen sizes and permission requirements.
Should be able to design Apps seamlessly handling cases where there are connection interruptions. For example, designing offline Apps that work in the basement of a building where there is frequent loss of GPS signal and internet connectivity. Apps should be capable of handling such scenarios and later send the data out when the connection or signal is restored.
Design Apps that work seamlessly in a low signal area or on a low bandwidth connection
Build advanced location-based service applications on top of Google Maps API or equivalent Maps framework
Take ownership of the design, architecture and planning of the features to be implemented. Work with the design team to evaluate various designs and implement that works best for the customer.
Design and build intuitive and fluid user interfaces
Build quality client facing Apps ensuring the App is designed for best performance and responsiveness
Should work with internal teams closely to understand their requirements and build Mobile App based solutions for them. A good number of Apps will be used by internal teams for operations and product prototyping.
Should be able to develop Apps at a quick pace in short periods of time. Quick sometimes will end up being two to three weeks max.
Required & Preferred skills
3+ years of experience developing IOS applications
Should possess Strong knowledge of IOS UI design patterns, principles and best practices
Should demonstrate knowledge and capabilities on App interaction with other devices/systems when using Bluetooth, Wifi and GPRS/3G interfaces
Familiarity with RESTful APIs to connect IOS applications to backend services. Familiarity with cloud messaging APIs and push notifications
Familiarity in working with the data from additional sensors such as gyroscopes, accelerometers and infrared sensors
Knowledge of the open-source IOS ecosystem and IOS libraries and new IOS programming environments and frameworks.
Understanding Apple’s IOS design principles and interface guidelines
Ability to work single handedly on the App
Ability to work in a collaborative team environment
Ability to focus and deliver proactively in a dynamic, multi-tasking, fast-paced environment
Bachelors or Master’s Degree in Computer Science or equivalent
