Responsibilities
:
• Manage and operate large scale production database systems across multiple Azure, AWS, and datacenter regions.
• Configure and support PostgreSQL databases and Microsoft SQL server databases.
• Install, configure, and deploy PostgreSQL or MS SQL Server using automation and infrastructure as code.
• Align and document best practice standards for provisioning, configuration, securing resources.
• Administer RBAC controls for all Database resources on-premises and in public clouds.
• Investigate issues and support product teams with database health.
• Contribute to plans and strategies to improve our stability, security, and management of cloud and datacenter resources.
• Work with Engineering teams to optimize queries, ensuringefficient operation of database systems.
• Resolve critical infrastructure incidents as part of our on-call rotation.
• Provide root cause analysis and proactively provide recommendations to prevent issues from surfacing.
Qualifications:
• 3+ years of professional experience in PostgreSQL database administration
• 1+ years of professional experience in MS SQL Server database administration
• Experience with SQL optimization
• Experience with on premise database setup and configuration, virtual or bare metal
• Experience with managing cloud database systems is a plus.
• Ability to work in a fast pace and rapidly changing environment.
• Ability to multitask and work effectively on multiple projects simultaneously.
