Job Description
Responsibilities:
- Help and assist, the irrigation technician, with irrigation and outdoor lighting tasks
- Use hand tools and power tools to perform various irrigation and lighting duties
- Help irrigate and water plants, trees, and lawns
- Utilize mechanical knowledge to troubleshoot and repair equipment as needed
- Dig trenches and holes for installing irrigation systems
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in lawn care, landscaping, or a related field is preferred
- Familiarity with hand tools and power tools used in landscaping
- Knowledge of irrigation maintenance techniques and best practices
- Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions
- Physical stamina to perform manual labor tasks such as digging and lifting
Starting pay is $15 per hour for the first 60 days. After 60 days, employee completes a job performance meeting. Once the meeting is completed and if the employee still has interest in the position, the employee pay will increase to $18 per hour. Opportunity to advance to a technician position, is dependent on the employees' eagerness to learn and being proactive on job sites. Must have a valid Alabama Driver's license and reliable form of transportation.
