We are currently seeking an experienced professional to join our team in the role of Senior Software Engineer
Summary
As a member of the Release & Environment Management team, responsible for the Ongoing support, Maintenance and Governance of Environments and their Interfaces with other Group Systems. Ensure that environments remain robust and healthy and continues to be fully supportive of the business demands for the foreseeable future. Deployment of projects and support fixes to production by following the change and release management process. This involved overall release planning, release governance, change execution, Release packaging and Release execution.
In this role, you will:
• Proven experience in Change Management, Release and Environment Management
• Responsible for the ongoing support of non-production, maintenance and governance of environments and their interfaces with other Group Systems. Ensure that environments remain robust and healthy and continues to be fully supportive of business
• Good knowledge of IT hardware, software, operations, and networks , Support Batch runs for ongoing projects. Investigate jobs in error
• Ability to priorities work to successfully deliver service to agreed levels in a diverse and constantly changing technical environment
• Effectively co-ordinate delivery of services involving elements delivered by other internal/external teams
• Strong customer focus , Have an excellent knowledge of the project lifecycle and new ways of working (Agile Methodologies)
• Good communication and interpersonal skills , Should be able to work independently with minimum support
• Capacity to think beyond boundaries, open to new ideas, Flexible to work in shift, hybrid working
Requirements
To be successful in this role, you should meet the following requirements:
• 2-7 years of experience on iSeries platform (AS400, RPG/RPGLE, CL/CLLE, DB2, SQL)
• Good knowledge Code packaging, Change Planning and Production Release, Subsystems, Backup and Restore process etc
• Good knowledge of MQ, Connect Direct and sFTP interface setup on iSeries
• Test Environment Build, Maintenance, Support and Manage access controls/governance on iSeries platform
• Good Knowledge of code promotion to different Test and Live environments via source control tools (RTC-ARCAD)
• Good understanding/hands-on of CI/CD pipeline, Good knowledge on work management, DASD monitoring, allocation, and clean-up
• Hands-on Experience/Certification on Cloud Technology is preferred (GCP, AWS, iCloud). Good working knowledge of DevOps Tools (RTC, ARCAD, Jenkins, ServiceNow, Ansible, GitHub)
• Basic knowledge of Agile Framework (scrum methodologies)
