Position Summary: The IT Applications Developer will play an essential role in supporting the Ingersoll Rand Enterprise PLM program. The current goal of the Enterprise PLM program is to deploy Windchill globally utilizing technology and tools that will deliver profitable growth, at greater than market rates, across the company. Key responsibilities will include supporting the strategic vision and direction around technologies that enable Engineering, Manufacturing and other functions such as Supply Management etc. This role will also contribute, support and participate in the development and implementation of best practices for deployment and maintenance of various modules of PTC’s Windchill along with other engineering applications such as InService, ArborText and IsoDraw/Illustrate. The successful candidate will work closely with the Enterprise PLM team, champions in each SBU and other IT delivery teams to deliver sustainable solutions.
Responsibilities:
• Support the strategy and vision of Enterprise PLM team on solution design, configuration and development standards, as well as best practices with Windchill technology
• Help with requirements gathering for Windchill Implementation projects
• Responsible for application development and integrations with upstream (CAD) and downstream (ERPs) systems & applications
• Proactively communicate risk integrity to key stakeholders
• Ensure ownership and accountability that will help resolve gaps
• Support initiatives to minimize support cost and accelerate the delivery of value-added functionality
• Support in assessing new tools and software, perform POCs to optimize the enterprise PLM landscape
Education/Experience:
• 4+ years of Windchill implementation/customization experience
• BS in Computer Science or related technical field
• Should have experience in all phases of a solution delivery
• Strong understanding of Windchill system architecture and Implementation experience
• Good understanding of Industrial manufacturing development business processes
• Hands-on experience with Windchill PDMLink/MPMLink Customization and Configuration, Windchill DB Schema
• Hands-on experience with setting up custom objects and attributes in Windchill PDMLink
• Model Custom Objects
• Create / Edit Wizard Development
• Lifecycle & Access Control
• Workflow Configuration
• Experience with Publishing data from Windchill into InService is preferred
• Configure SIS Worker
• InService Publish Setup - Rules / Bundles /Mapping
• Experience with Service Parts / Service Information Manager Module
• Experience with Service Information Module in Windchill
• Setup Product Hierarchy
• Hands-on experience with Angular JS, Java/J2EE, Restful/SOAP Web services, XML, XSD, XSLT
• Hands-on experience writing and tuning SQL queries
• Hands-on experience in the development of JSPs, Servlets and MVC frame work
• Strong knowledge of OOPS concepts and programming
• Have the good understanding of Unix scripting
• Certifications in JAVA/J2EE is preferred
• Certified with Windchill skills is preferred
• Experience working with large scale enterprise, matrix organization with Front/Back Office.
• Articulate solution ideas with absolute clarity, good communication and presentation skills
• Experience with redesign existing systems to improve operational/business efficiency
• Should possess functional knowledge in PLM domain in relation to Engineering, Manufacturing
• Excellent collaboration, verbal and written communication skills
