About the team
The Capital Markets AI/ML CoE team is a horizontal CoE for Capital Markets that is helping us drive revenue and bring significant savings to our businesses by identifying, exploring, and implementing AI/ML solutions.
The Capital Markets is one of the two verticals in FIS. It has various products and solutions in funds management, cleared derivatives, commercial lending, corporate treasury, insurance risk electronic trading, RegTech, wealth and retirement etc.
The team consists of highly motivated solution architects, data scientists and ML engineers.
What you will be doing
• Working closely with the business analysts and developers to deliver quality product.
• Responsible for producing high-quality code while adhering strictly to the FIS standards.
• Hard-working and open to learn and adopt for new technologies while understanding the move to new technologies will be slow and steady for product stability.
• Be competent in handling constant change of scope and solution. Priorities can shift quickly because of our dedication to the clients and drive to keep them up and running.
• Engage with knowledge transfer activities.
What you bring:
Knowledge / Experience
• Excellent communication, both spoken and written – Ability to discuss and clearly communicate technical solutions to internal and external parties and adapt depending on the technical or business focus of the discussion.
• Attention to detail – track record of authoring high-quality code.
• Experience in delivering high-quality application interfaces and/or database code (SQL)
• Experience in working in a distributed global environment.
• Good expertise in the maintenance of applications using legacy technologies.
• Ability to deliver results under pressure.
• Self-motivated and self-learning attitude.
• Quick Adaptation to new tools and techniques.
• Effectively communicate with clients and those outside of their role, especially when it comes to discussing issues with development. Having the ability to communicate with both technical and non-technical people.
Essential Skills:
Experience in Software Architecture and Design Proficiency in programming languages Python, Java and related technologies Spring boot, Microservices, REST Services, JPA, Hibernate, Mockito, OAuth2, Flask, FastAPI. Desirable experience with containerization using Docker and Kubernetes. Good to have experience AWS, UI Frameworks (Angular), Splunk, Spring Kafka, GraalVM. Experience in dealing with performance-related issues and software application profiling.
Strong troubleshooting skills. Ability to solve complex software system issues.
Should have very good hands-on experience with SQL. Must have experience with Source Control Management tools (preferably Git/BitBucket) and Defect Tracking tools. Be competent in handling constant change of scope and solution.
