About the role
We are looking for an IT Business Analyst II to join the Lab's Acquisition team! As a Business Analyst, you play a key role as an interpreter and facilitator with the various business units, the development team and the quality assurance team. You will be at the heart of a team that plays a key role in optimizing our online sales and is constantly looking to provide the best insurance buying experience. At Intact, we benchmark ourselves against the best customer experiences, period.
What you’ll do here:
Analyze business needs to define IT solutions.
Facilitate/participate in business needs specification workshops to specify IT solutions.
Conduct impact analyses and effort estimates to recommend, get approved, and then document the IT solution using effective methods and interacting with both business users and the IT project team.
Support the development of solutions and the technical analyses performed.
Support quality assurance activities and acceptance testing.
Support the Product Manager in defining and prioritizing the product backlog.
Document user stories in a way that is understood by developers and the QA team.
Identify and communicate impacts on business processes to support change management in business units on a train-the-trainer basis.
Build and maintain functional, robust, accurate and accessible documentation for all stakeholders in the company.
What you bring to the table:
Bachelor's degree in a related field or any combination of education and equivalent experience
At least 2 years of relevant experience
Scrum Project Experiences
Experience and knowledge in the insurance field (asset)
Experience and knowledge of applications in a web environment
Mastery of JIRA, CONFLUENCE
No Canadian work experience required however must be eligible to work in Canada.
For candidates located in Quebec, bilingualism is required considering the necessity to interact on a regular basis with English-speaking colleagues across the country
