Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and motivated IT Engineer to join our team. The IT Engineer will be responsible for maintaining and optimizing the company's IT infrastructure, ensuring smooth and efficient operation of hardware, software, and network systems. This position involves troubleshooting issues, implementing solutions, and providing technical support to employees across various departments. The ideal candidate will possess strong problem-solving skills, a thorough understanding of IT best practices, and the ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Install, configure, and maintain IT hardware (servers, PCs, printers) and software applications.
Ensure the security and integrity of the network and data by implementing firewalls, anti-virus software, and other cybersecurity measures.
Monitor and maintain network infrastructure, including switches, routers, and Wi-Fi access points.
Provide technical support to users, troubleshooting hardware and software issues, and offering timely resolutions.
Perform regular system updates, backups, and performance monitoring to ensure optimal functionality.
Collaborate with the IT team to implement new technologies and upgrades.
Ensure compliance with IT policies and data protection regulations.
Maintain accurate documentation of system configurations, IT procedures, and issue resolutions.
Assist in IT-related projects such as system upgrades, migrations, and new deployments.
Manage software licenses and maintain IT asset inventory.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
Proven experience in an IT support or engineering role.
Strong knowledge of networking protocols (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP) and Windows/Linux/MacOS environments.
Experience with virtualization technologies (e.g., VMware, Hyper-V).
Knowledge of cybersecurity practices and tools (e.g., firewalls, anti-virus software, intrusion detection).
Familiarity with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure) is a plus.
Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Excellent communication and customer service skills.
Preferred Skills:
Certifications such as CompTIA A+, Network+, CCNA, or Microsoft certifications.
Experience with scripting and automation (e.g., PowerShell, Python).
Knowledge of enterprise software such as ERP systems.
Working Hours: +:30 to 6:30
