Purpose Capabilities, Experience & Qualification Requirements
The Midrange, Storage and Engineered Systems team provides infrastructure support for a range of environments running on non Windows operating systems (OS) such as RedHat Enterprise Linux, AIX, Solaris, Oracle Linux and Oracle Virtual Machines. In addition to OS support, the team also support the enterprise SAN and NAS storage infrastructure, and the proprietary Oracle Engineered Systems appliances. As a Senior Consultant, Infrastructure Engineering, you will be responsible for providing technical leadership in the development, deployment and maintenance of infrastructure solutions required to transform the current ageing environment onto cloud or cloud-adjacent platforms. You will work closely with teams across the enterprise, including Architecture, Security and Application teams to determine remediation treatment plans for each platform, drive support and buy in from senior leadership.
Essential Experience
• 5+ years technical experience (within financial services industry preferred
• Hands on experiencing support one or more of the following operating systems:
• Red Hat / Oracle Enterprise Linux
• SPARC Solaris
• P Series AIX
• Amazon Web Services
• Microsoft Azure Desired Experience

Key Accountabilities
• Work with key stakeholders to identify remediation treatment plans for legacy environments
• Drive simplification and hyper-standardization with a view tot lowering management costs and improving consolidation
• Drive senior leadership support and buy-in for identified treatment plans
• Provide technical leadership to support Midrange squad and Product Owner to deliver on remediation treatment plans
• Work with asset teams to identify and resolve remediation roadblocks
• Work with Program / Project managers and business analysts, to articulate clear requirements and offer technical input into the requirements process
• Work with solution designers to provide input into the design for remediation treatment plans
• Document remediation treatment options, determine operational feasibility and produce specifications and other artefacts as required • Comply with project plans, design requirements, security standards, control requirements, industry standards & regulatory requirements
• Foster knowledge sharing across the team to uplift team capabilities.
• Promote a collaborative team environment that fosters creativity, innovation, continuous improvement and celebrates success
