For our Operations team in Kolkata, we are looking for an enthusiastic and driven IT Infrastructure Engineer-Networks
About job:
• Developing roadmaps for network technologies (switches, firewalls, access points, VPNs) through research, testing, and collaboration with IT management and business partners
• Maintaining, administering, and monitoring the global network environment and providing deep technical support for daily operations, incidents, and problem resolution
• Documenting global network architecture, hardware, software, and missing knowledge in asset inventory and knowledge base systems
• Supporting additional infrastructure areas, including on‑premises and cloud server environments
• Designing and implementing functional LAN, WAN, and WLAN infrastructure
• Configuring and installing network devices, software, routers, switches, and performing regular patching
• Monitoring network performance and integrity while resolving escalated issues from IT support tiers
• Mentoring Infrastructure Services colleagues and sharing knowledge to address recurring network issues
• Automating operational tasks and evaluating their effectiveness
• Creating, testing, and overseeing security measures, including access authentication and disaster recovery improvements
• Updating asset inventory and documenting technical changes in knowledge systems
• Evaluating emerging threats and implementing security controls to reduce risks and support continuous improvement
• Leading and executing global network refresh and modernization projects
• Managing incidents, problems, and changes related to network infrastructure and providing root‑cause analysis for major issues
About you:
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or equivalent experience
• CCNP Enterprise certification required; experience with ENCOR, ENARSI, and SD‑WAN
• CCIE Enterprise preferred
• 5+ years of experience managing global network environments
• Strong hands‑on experience with tools such as SolarWinds, Wireshark, NMAP, TCPDump, Syslog
• Experience with Cisco, Meraki, Barracuda, and Riverbed technologies
• Solid understanding of TCP/IP, BGP, and OSPF
• Scripting knowledge in Perl and Python for automation
• Strong organizational, problem‑solving and customer‑focused mindset
