Job Title: Senior Quality Engineer
Location: Gurugram/Jaipur, India
Relevant Experience Required: 5 + yrs
About the Role:
Ensures high degree of functional test coverage akin to day in life of a business user by designing and conducting a variety of functional, performance and E2E tests. Play a crucial role in ensuring the delivery of high-quality software products by providing expertise, and assist the team strategic inputs and collaborating closely with cross-functional teams throughout the software development lifecycle. processes, creates and executes test scripts, assists in preparation of test strategies, sets up and maintains test data & environments as well as logs results. Provides maintenance of the regression suite and creates & executes automated test scripts. Functions as a platform SME who drives quality on critical product features, Executes against the testing strategy defined at the platform level.
What You'll Do
• Works with engineers, team members to identify areas and methods to help improve testing efficiency, expand coverage and increase product reliability.
• Creating Test Plans, define test approach and methodologies (covering functional, performance and usability aspects).
• Plan/conduct functional, End to End testing across platform
• Maintain test repository on Jira /Zephyr Scale providing complete test coverage across applicable testing types-functional and non-functional, E2E etc.
• Assist to investigate production issues.
• Assist to improve time to market and test coverage by working on test automation frameworks/ tools for UI & multi device testing. Delivers on capabilities for the aligned portfolio’s automation strategy.
• Analyse and optimize application performance and security measures.
• Constantly seek opportunities to improve our quality and testing approach.
• Coordinate effectively with development and testing teams in both onshore and offshore locations via daily scrum meetings etc.
• Plans and defines testing approach, providing advice on prioritization of testing activity in support of identified risks in project schedules or test scenarios.
• Generates test data to support the requirements and test case for various test phases
• Provides timely inputs and adheres to processes defined to monitor quality assurance metrics such as defect removal efficiency , defect counts, test results, and test status
• Identifies opportunities to adopt innovative testing technologies and techniques
• Well versed in writing concise, high-quality technical documentation and post on Confluence.
• Collaborate with Developers, DBA, Product, CS and Devops ensuring the highest product quality standards
What You'll Need
• Solid understanding of development lifecycles, testing methodologies, and QA processes and documentation.
• Strong knowledge in API , related testing tools (Postman)
• Strong understanding of backend architectures, databases and APIs
• Experience in Performance/stress/load testing tools such as Jmeter
• Hands-on experience with test planning, test designing and execution, implementing and maintaining quality test automation.
• Experience with Agile, other rapid application development methods
• Experience in working with Test management tool JIRA Scale and test optimisation/coverage techniques.
• Experience on test automation scripts with tools like Selenium Webdriver, Appium, TestNg, REST-Assured
• Should be a self-starter with high initiative, team player, and enthusiastic to learn and deliver on latest tools and technologies.
• Strong and fluent communication skills.
• BE/B.Tech/ME/M. Tech in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Systems (or equivalent)
Good to have:
• Any of the following test certifications - QAI, ASQ, IIST, ISEB, ISTQB - are a plus
• Experience in E2E & Integration tests of complex systems.
• Proficiency in handling complex DB queries.
• Excellent skills in Performance Testing
• Experience of Cloud Platforms AWS/Azure
