About this role (Role summary):
Role: GNOC Technician
Under the supervision of IT NOC Manager, You will be responsible to work in Global Network Operations Center. This position will support a 24X7 GNOC to be located in Gurgaon, India. The job will require to work different shifts as assigned by the supervisor.
What you ll do:
Be a part of the GNOC team which is staffed 24X7 all the time including holidays
Have a clear understanding of all the supported systems within the IT infrastructure.
Approach should be proactive, rather than reactive.
Provide first line troubleshooting and resolutions upon initial checks, using our internal knowledge base & various other sources.
Ensure that all internal stakeholders have been properly communicated during the major incidents and critical situation.
Meet or exceed all the GNOC metrics and process requirements (ticket management protocols, interval tracking, communication requirements, etc.)
Liaise with IT colleagues, technical support group, includes both infra and apps, and other business units as required.
Ensure all the outages are logged, dealt with, escalated and communicated appropriately and in a timely manner.
Accurate technical knowledgebase, documentation, policies, and processes are maintained to a high level.
Treat all customers with courtesy and professionalism.
Must documents all handoff notes to next technician, while leaving the shift.
At times may be required to stay long hours, when needed.
